WOOD-ALUMINIUM WINDOWS
WOOD-ALUMINIUM WINDOWS IV78 SWISS HELVETIA
Wood-aluminium windows IV78 Swiss Helvetia perfectly combines thermal insulation and aesthetic qualities of wood with the technical properties of aluminium. The Swiss Helvetia system is characterized by a narrow frame profile and laconic, rectangular internal profiling of the wooden sash section.
- Wooden sections of the sash and frame are 78mm thick; the frame with aluminium cover plates (construction depth) is 91 mm thick.
- In this system, the groove for installation of the external windowsill is embedded in the lower aluminium finishing profile, thus the windowsill visually merges with the window frame.
- Standard insulating glass unit is 52mm thick, its thermal transmittance coefficient Ug=0.5 W/m2*K. The narrow frame profile provides the opportunity to increase the glazing area bringing more light into the room and at the same time improving the thermal conductivity coefficient of the window up to Uw=0.83 W/m. (according to DIN EN ISO 10077-1).
- Sound insulation of the window is 36 dB. By choosing special sound-suppressing insulating glass units, it is possible to increase it up to 53 dB.

DESCRIPTION OF WOOD-ALUMINIUM WINDOWS
Aluminium-coated wooden windows are an elegant and convenient solution that offers several advantages. Aluminium – it means safety, durability; wood – naturalness, warmth and comfort. The combination of both materials guarantees longevity, good appearance, comfortable operation of the window and excellent harmony with any type of architecture and indoor interior. Aluminium is light, durable, environmentally friendly. It is highly resistant to environmental impact; aluminium does not corrode nor loses its excellent physical properties even with drastic temperature fluctuations.
Frames and sashes of wooden windows are covered from the outside with painted or anodized aluminium cover plates. Aluminium is painted using modern powder coating methods. This way you can get not only the desired colour tone according to the RAL catalogue, but also imitation of wooden or stone texture. Powder coating is durable against environmental impact, mechanical damage, ultraviolet radiation, washing. The corner joints of aluminium frames painted in RAL colours are welded and polished before painting, so that the joint stitch is not visible. Unfortunately, the welded corner joint is not available for anodized and texture-painted profiles.
Aluminium finishing profiles
Aluminium finishing profiles are available in various visually different styles. Besides the standard “Classic”, there are such variants as “Retro”, “Linear”, “Soft Line” and “Integral”. The wooden profile is adapted to the aluminium finishing system of ALURON Gemini. The additional third sealing contour is used to safely discharge rainwater or condensate to the drainage channels in the lower profile of the aluminium frame. It also improves the sound insulation of the window, as well as reduces the airflow. The bottom of the frame contains cuts for easy installation of internal and external windowsills; it is possible to make grooves around the perimeter for mounting of plasterboard finish.

WINDOW FITTINGS
ROTO fittings allow opening, tilting or locking the window in the microventilation (winter ventilation) position. The upper part of the turn-only and tilt&turn windows may also be sloping or arched; there are almost no restrictions to the shape of fixed windows. For rectangular windows you may choose hidden, parallel sliding (PSK)
or folding sliding (FS) fittings.
